Sublime with Rome
Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom
November 13, 2016
Sublime with Rome brought the sounds of Long Beach, California to Hampton Beach, NH last night.
The lineup of Eric Wilson from the original Sublime, Rome Ramirez, and Josh Freese (The Vandals, Devo, GnR, ect.) brought the mix of high energy raucous punk mixed with smooth dub, reggae, and ska that Sublime fans are used to. The band was well received by the crowd, which Rome thanked on occasion, and fans sang along to just about every song.
The setlist was comprised of what would basically be a Sublime greatest hits, and the crowd loved it. Some songs included Date Rape, Smoke Two Joints, Wrong Way, 40 oz. to Freedom, Pawn Shop, April 29, 1992, Badfish, Scarlet Begonias, What I Got, and Santeria.
All in all it was a great show and Sublime with Rome gave the crowd the means to forget they were in cold Hampton Beach and feel like they were in the LBC.
